Plastic Fairytales
The opening night on Saturday was well attended. It was fun.
We took video and many photos… below are some quick outlines of the pieces that were in the show. Coming soon: complete video of the Movies event, and perhaps a video compilation from Jordan’s photos.
The exhibition runs until Wednesday, but Jordan’s dad has offered to help with his vehicle on Tuesday. So on Tuesday we’ll transport the big stuff and then on Wednesday we’ll wrap up the sorting/recycling/trashing process.
We are going to try to salvage as many of the materials as possible and use them for new projects. I think the most interesting process we’ve discovered is the construction of identity using these discarded objects, as with Batman.
The next step is to explore this direction further while streamlining the procuring and ethical disposal processes.
